Weddings and Parties

Wedding Services: We provide music for any part of a modern or traditional wedding.

Baraat:  Dhol player in traditional costume (barrel drum played with bamboo sticks, that leads the procession of the Groom to the wedding).

Shehnai: Often used for Baraat. (see shehnai category for more details)

Wedding ceremony (Lagan):

• Shehnai: Indian oboe
• Tabla: Double drums of North India
• Sitar: 20 stringed long necked lute of India.

Traditional melodies for the arrival of guests, bride and the ceremony.  The sitar will often accompany the ceremony, providing soft beautiful melodies. We will confer with the client and the officiate when they require music.

• Cocktails/Reception: Dhuns/folk pieces and light classical compositions performed. If you have a favorite selection, please ask well in advance.
• Lunch/Dinner: If a more traditional setting is desired, we draw from a large repertoire of classical ragas and dhuns to provide a beautiful background for the meal. Again, if you have a favorite raga, please ask well in advance. 
• Attire: Traditional Kurta (long tunic) with flowing pants.
